How to clean your false eyelashes

10 Jun

Most false eyelashes u can get 3-4 wears out of them, but i have tricks to make them last longer.

Some tips :
▪never put mascara on them,
▪make sure you taking them off gently,
▪store them in the false eyelashes container so that they remain the same shape.

image

1. pour 2 to 3 drops of makeup remover

2. put false eyelashes for 1 minutes or less

image

3. pluck used eyelash glue to the opposite direction

4. take a tissue and put the eyelash

image

5. use the tissue to wipe the eyelash from inside out

6. put the cleaned eyelash into its place so it will not lose its shape

Tutorial : Valentine edition

14 Feb

Hi beauties, today is Valentine’s Day and I create this look that is easy and flattering to almost all skin and eye color using purple eye shadow as the main focus to the eyes.

2013-02-13-07-38-23_deco

Point: I’ve done my face routine like usual, using my trusty Skin79 BB cream to even out my complexion. I have a couple of active acne so I used my Bobbi Brown concealer to cover them. Last but very important step, I use my Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer on my eyelids and bring some along my lower lash line.

The eye shadow palette that I’m using here is Coastal Scents 88 Ultra Shimmer Eye Shadow Palette. My makeup brushes are from Sigma.

Here are the directions:

 2013-02-13-07-28-44_deco

1. Using shadow brush, take the shimmery soft yellow shadow (A) and apply it all over your lids.

2. Using pencil brush, take the deep purple shadow (B) and gently apply the shadow along your crease line (see pic). Always start slowly with this kind of intense color. You don’t want too much of it!

3. Blend away any harsh line with fluffy blending brush. Use gentle stroke.

4. Using shadow brush, take again the shimmery soft yellow shadow (A) and apply it in the inner corner of your eyes for brightening effect.

5. Using pencil brush, take a little bit of dark brown shadow (C) and apply it only at the outer corner of the eyes, bring some to the lower lash line.

6. Here I’m using my black Dolly Wink eyeliner to create winged eyeliner look like so.

7. Apply some false lashes and put one coat of mascara.

8-9. Moving to cheek, I use my YSL Touche Blush #6 and use it as a bronzer to contour my cheekbone.  Then using an angle blush brush, blend away any harsh line

I finished the look with Benefit Hervana blush on my cheek and YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick #1 on my lips.

Review : Schwarzkopf Hair Foam (caramel brown)

12 Feb

My hair has grownnn and it’s time for color treatment. I bought this Schwarzkopf hair foam from my local drugstore, it was on sale and I never tried this brand before so here is my first experience using it.

Pro:

  • Cute packaging
  • The directions are easy to follow
  • The color was spread evenly (a few days later, I had my haircut and the hairstylist thought that my hair color was done professionally)
  • The product is more than enough to color my whole hair.
  • Save $$$ as we can do it ourselves

Cons:

  • They use doll as their cover model, I would prefer human model because the color will be much more realistic to me.
  • I don’t fancy the after color treatment, the consistency is very thick but doesn’t moisture my hair enough.
  • The color range is very limited, I wish they have more variety.

It turns out to be quite light brown to my hair. Overall, I really like this product! If you want to color your own hair I would suggest using this rather than the normal hair-dye because it is much easier to use. I would repurchase this later on and if you would like to give this product a try, my advise is to use your own deep conditioner afterwards or you can mix the after color treatment that comes with your own conditioner to double the moisture.

Thank you so much for reading. Hope you find this post useful. Feel free to drop your comment or ask us anything.

Cheers

DIY Project: Glam up your old sweater and cardigan with studs!

31 Jan

Hi, hope you all had an amazing month. Can’t believe it’s the last day of January 2013! I’m trying to make the most of each day but I realize that I need to do better, haha.. So that’s why I would like to share this productive DIY project that I did recently with you all. It is hard to get craft supplies here where I live.  Every time I see a DIY blog/vlog posts I get really excited at first but when I try to find the supplies I gave up on doing the project. One day I saw an online seller in facebook and found these studs! I bought them straight away and did these:

Matte lipstick and matte nail polish become trend and I’m totally obsessed with them.

If you are bored with the color of nail polish that you already have, you can do experiment with this matte nail polish.

Now you can make your own instead you just look at the picture on Instagram, tumblr or pinterest and wondered how to make it.

I’m using china glaze kinetic candy, revlon pink lingerie and etude house matte real.

How to :

First, paint the entire nail with your desirable nail polish color. Let it dry. Second, apply the matte polish (one coat). And your done! :-)

Emma Stone on Gangster Squad Tutorial : Burgundy red lipstick

26 Jan 560.gangstersquad6.mh.071112

I’m in love with her look in this movie! 1940s was such a glamorous era, every woman in the movie rocks bold red lips and knee-length dresses which I much adore. After watching this movie, I pulled out all my bold lipstick and from now on will try to wear them more often. This is my attempt to re-create her look in this movie. Btw, it’s such a great movie and I recommend you to watch it!

PS: Ryan Gosling is such an eye-candy..

How to:

Always start with a fresh clean face, and then you can do your foundation/face routine. Here, I used my Skin 79 BB cream and applied Urban Decay eye primer.

1. With an eye shading brush, I applied white eye shadow only on my lids.

2. With a pencil brush, I applied medium brown color on my crease. Remember, always to start slowly and build the color until you are satisfied. I used feather light stroke along my crease. Take your time.

3. With blending brush, blend away any harsh line..

4. With the same pencil brush, apply dark brown shadow in the outer corner of your eyes. Focus on the ‘>’ edge as seen on the picture.

5. Bring down the dark brown shade to your bottom lash-line.

6-9. This is the major part for the look beside the lip. Draw a winged-liner! The important thing to remember is to use your trusty liquid liner and try to draw the line as close as possible to your natural lashes (just follow your natural eye shape). The thinner the line, your eyes will look bigger.

10. Here, I curled my lashes and apply false lashes. If you wish, you can add mascara and leave the false lashes step.

11. For cheek, I just use my YSL touché blush (#6) and blend it with a large angled contour brush.

12-13. Lip part! I used my red liner and then applied burnt red lipstick by Revlon (Crimson) which I love love love.

Brushes that I used are by Sigma.

Thanks for reading! Hope you will try this look. Let us know your thoughts about the movies and the makeup looks..

Xoxo
